With the prices of electronic equipments falling drastically, buyers are getting bolder and realizing their dreams of owning a home theater. Most of the movies are releasing their DVDs shortly or together with the movie release in theaters. Many regular moviegoers are finding home cinema a better option than going to cinemas.

While buying a home theater, a few aspects should be considered. Just going out and buying the best available home theater and TV Furniture won’t be a good idea as the most expensive home theater bought may not suit your needs.

The most important aspect is the size of the room in which the home theater is to be installed. It must be big enough to fit a big screen and accompanying TV Furniture. It must have enough depth to allow the viewer to sit back and watch without straining the eyes. A depth of 8-10 feet is ideal. The room should have as few windows as possible. If at all there are windows, they should be blacked out with shades.

The room should be made soundproof by insulating the ceilings and walls. This ensures that those enjoying the movie will have a good experience without disturbing those in adjoining rooms. There are many products available in the shops to make this possible without much trouble. It is recommended that the work be done by a professional.

The floors should also be made soundproof by laying thick carpets. Consider the habits of users while selecting the carpet color. If there is going to be lots of spills on the carpet, an easily washable dark colored carpet would be ideal. For those who are not comfortable with carpets can consider carpet tiles as an alternative. It is possible to replace each tile while using carpet tiles. A carpet made from polypropylene is ideal for this purpose. They have antistatic properties, which is helpful in this regard.

The walls should be painted in light color preferably white. This serves the purpose of the screen. With even a portable projector and laptop, it is possible to convert the room into a home theater. However, care should be taken to see if the color of the wall suits the overall atmosphere of the room. There are special paints available in the market especially for this purpose. Even though white is considered the best color for this, any light shade will achieve the desired result.

Last but not least is the TV Furniture seating arrangement. As this depends entirely on the budget allotted, it is individual choice that matters. Still recliners with bottle holders and massagers are recommended. There is theater-like seating arrangement available, but as this takes up lots of space, much thought need to go into this before zeroing in on any product.

If you do not have a spare room to set up a home theater, it is possible to set it up in the living room itself. In this scenario, a wall-mounted TV is ideal, as it takes up less space and can add style to the whole room.
