Wall Mount Brackets for your TV

Wall mounting is a popular way of placing a plasma or LCD TV as it saves a lot of space that TV Furniture such as TV stand or TV armoire would take and it looks neat. You can either hire a professional to get this job done or do it yourself. Doing the wall mounting yourself is not very difficult when you have taken advice from the right people and follow the instructions properly. There are many types of wall mount brackets in the market today and choosing the right one is important.

For homes, normal or the ones with tilt can be used depending or where you want to mount it. If you are wall mounting your TV at a low height, normal wall bracket will suffice which are easy to install. If you are planning to hook your TV at a height above normal viewing angle, a wall mount bracket which allows for a tilt will be more convenient. Owing to the multiple advantages that come with wall mounting TVs, it is being done by a major portion of people who go with plasma and LCD TVs.

The wall mount brackets are also used in offices, malls and other public places for public displays where the TVs will be mounted quite high so as to be visible to a higher number of people. This will prevent theft and damage to the electronic equipment when resting on TV Furniture. Another category is the hanging bracket kind of mount, which is used to conveniently hang TVs from the ceiling which gives it a wider viewing angle and can also be made to face any side of the room. The hanging bracket is used in public places like malls, railway stations, etc.

It is very important to buy a good quality bracket to hold the TV as a low quality one could break because of its weight. You should look for a bracket that fits your TV perfectly and one that is made to hold the weight of the particular model. Drilling the wall and fitting the mount on to the wall should be done with the help of the right equipment and know- how to avoid accidents that may damage your TV in the future.

If you have a plasterboard wall, find out if it is dot and dab kind or the stud wall. Make sure your bracket covers at least two solid dabs. If it’s a stud wall, fix it to a stud so that it will take all the weight. Drilling and hiding the wires should be done carefully with the measurements at hand and levels maintained. Always use the specialized screws and attachments that come with the bracket and follow the instructions that come with the instruction manual accurately. Attaching flat screen to the mount should be done with the assistance of another person as handling the heavy plasma TV by yourself is not very safe.

Wall mounting your TV adds elegance to your room especially if you use a TV Frame to compliment your decor. You can use the flat bracket if you are fixing it at the eye level and want to show off how thin your new TV is. The tilting and the swivel kind of wall mount brackets are more versatile and let you adjust the viewing angle so as to make it possible for a large number of people to view it comfortably. The articulating kind of wall mount bracket is very useful but the arm extends quite far from the wall. A lot of advantages come with using the wall mount some of them being reducing the dead space and being able to use your TV Furniture console top for other purposes like show pieces and vases.
